I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
